What We Have Been Up To…

Although we haven’t been posting, we have been very busy. This Fall in addition to JJ’s monthly classes at the zoo and events at the MO History Museum, we added private one hour swim lessons twice a week and a weekly scheduled craft/game day at his friend’s house.
After studying the American Revolution for two months, we set off in November for a two week American Revolution field trip to Boston, Connecticut, and New York. Nothing better than seeing history. Days walking the Freedom Trail, talking to docents, walking the grounds of Fort Montgomery, exploring old cemeteries, eating local seafood, traveling to NYC by Amtrak train. We even traveled to the Submarine Museum in Groton, CT to see a life size version of the Bushnell Turtle submarine used in the Revolution to be able to visualize how it must have felt to complete a mission in the dark cold waters of the Atlantic.
Traveling was a hugely positive experience that we hope to do again this Spring.
